Successors group"Toujin children"
was established in 1992 spring, to grow successors of Toujin Dance.
The members are mailny pupils of Yousei elementary school of Tsu city, and
they excersize Toujin Dance every second Saturday in their gymnasium.
Most of tools including clothes are handmade.
At the first year, the principal Mr.Shigeki Taniguchi endeavoured to make tools in his room.
So far, total number of "Toujin children" reached to about 300.
From 1997's Tsu festival, some OBs of "Toujin children" became high school students, performed the dance with adult Toujins.
Their future contribution as the successor is expected.
There ar many chances to show children's performance.
Particularly some of old people's groups enjoy them every year,
requiring children rather than adult.
One nursery near Wakebe-cho, reuse old costume of Toujin, and make chance for the children
to enjoy local traditional culture.
