Toujin House

The museum of Toujin Dance
"Toujin House"was opened on 27th May, 2001.

It was our long desire to have our museum. You can always see and touch flags, masks, which are used in Tsu festival.

You can also take your photos wearing Toujin's clothes.

Keimei flag

The most remarkable one will be the big flag used more than 200 years ago, which is exhibited there as it has been there from then. The color of dragon picture drawn on paper is as clear as it has been from old days.

Big clock

There are other important materials like old Toujin dancers' pictures, commercial transaction records, postal card from old Japanese famous poet Ichiyou Higuchi, old map of Wakebe district, and other precious ones, with which we can get many information about old days. Old big grandpa's clock, which has been worked as a standard timer in our district, is still acting. It's bell sound gives us grandpa's tenderness.

Souvenir

We sell a little goods as souvenir of "Toujin House" including ceramic bell, keyholder, towel, handkerchief, liquor etc.

Toujin stage

We receive 300 yen (free under 15) as entrance fee. This is for the purpose of material maintainance, and improvement of exhibition, asking many visitors kind understanding and cooperation.
